We have a range of guitar sizes to suit your child’s height and age. We offer quality brand new guitars that are suitable for beginners, and there is no need to pay for the most expensive guitar to start with.
The students are more than welcome to borrow one of our guitars for the first complimentary lesson or until they can get their own guitar. They then will require their own guitar afterwards to practice with at home.
We don’t offer hired guitars simply for the reason that it is more cost effective to buy a guitar for the prices we sell them. It would cost the same if not more to hire a guitar for a term. Having your own guitar is a much more viable option. However should you decide at any point to stop lessons and no longer require your instrument, you can arrange to sell your guitar on Facebook Marketplace, or we could even purchase the guitar back off you for a discounted price.
A guitar book may be supplied at the start which can be included in the invoice. Other optional items are music stand, guitar tuner, guitar stand, or a capo. These can all be supplied by TMS.
No problem if the student is absent for a lesson please notify TMS immediately and a make up lesson will be arranged for you during the school term. The student is welcome to do a double lesson at any point during the term, and can either have ½ lesson each added on to 2 x consecutive lessons to make up for it, or where this is not possible, can be put on credit for the following term.
The student will start to learn their very first song in their first lesson. The student will start by learning how to read basic music notation, and putting simple songs together. They will learn the precise left and right hand technique, time signatures, rhythm, and later on will learn how to read TABS, scales, chords, power chords, strumming patterns, picking techniques, fingerstyle playing, and music theory whilst playing their favourite songs. These include famous nursery rhymes, movie themes, and many popular rock songs and tunes.
